“Kinderlight” was commissioned
by my friend Bob Schiffman, and
he asked for a work that explored
child-like nature, whether it be
memories of one’s own childhood, or
relating to the experience of raising
children. I wrote a work in seven
movements to view childhood
through different lenses.
